A son of Simon Jr., and Betsey (Farmer) Patch. Samuel married Elenor Clemons, a daughter of James and Polly (Chapman) Clemons before 1827 at Wallingford, Vermont.
Samuel and Elenor (Clemons) Patch were original members of the East Wallingford Baptist Church.
Samuel is a descendant of immigrant Nicholas Patch II, who came to Colonial America between the years 1622 - 1630: (Samuel, Simon II, Simon I, Ebenezer, Isaac, Thomas, Nicholas II, Nicholas I, William).
