Fred Klaus, 73, Dies in Galveston

Fred Klaus, 73, former resident of Borger and father of W. M. Klaus and T. A. Klaus, died at 1:45 p.m. yesterday in a Galveston hospital.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ida Klaus; 12 living children, Mrs. Carmen Wilkinson of Galveston, Mrs. Lee Williams of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Mrs. Alice Ellis of Ponca City, Mrs. Kern Janow of Picher, Oklahoma, Mrs. John P. Bishop of Ponca City, T. A. and W. M. Klaus of Borger, Bob Klaus of Houston; four sons in Service, John Klaus in Germany, Calvin Klause in the Philippines, Joe Klause in San Diego, California, Waite Klaus in Galveston. He is survived by nineteen grandchildren and one great grandson.

A pioneer of Barnsdall, Oklahoma, Klaus was employed by Industrial Insulators at the Rubber Plant while a resident of Borger.

Funeral services are being made in Galveston and burial will be in Cedarvale, Kansas.
