Death of Mrs. Wm. Richter.

The sad news reached Arlington last Friday that Mrs. Wm. Richter had passed away at the Swedish Immanuel hospital at Omaha at 6:45 that morning, following an operation which took place on Friday, May 3.

The remains reached Arlington on Saturday and were laid to rest on Sunday, the interment taking place in the Telbasta cemetery, the service being conducted by the Rey. Mr. Weigert, of the Evangelical church and were very largely attended, the church not being able to hold all who were in attendance.

The deceased was formerly Miss Hazel Cross, and was born in Herman April 28, 1889, making her age at death 23 years and 12 days. She was educated in the public schools in that village, from which she was a graduate, and taught school for two years previous to her marriage.

She had been ailing for some time, and was taken to Omaha in hopes that an operation would relieve her distress, only to be brought home a few days later in the cold embrace of death. She was well known throughout the northern part of the county, and none knew her but to respect and love her for the many excellent traits of character she possessed.

Besides a loving husband she leaves behind a daughter 2 years old, father, mother, one sister and four brothers, with whom the entire community in which she resided unite in a common sorrow.

"Though the tears that were shed, though in secret they rolled, Shall long keep her memory green in our souls."
