William Allison came home from the service, according to documented records, and married Catherine C. Beaver in March 1858. No children were born of this marriage. In 1880 he married Laura Anna Sophia Beaver.

Widow Laura Ann Beaver was approved a Confederate Widow's pension (Arkansas #5796) for her husband W. A. Beaver's service to the C.S.A. Her pension was approved from Lonoke County. She stated he served in Company C, 4th North Carolina Infantry from 1862 to 1865. She also stated that he died September 12, 1900.
