John L. Hunt, 79, died Oct 8,1990 at the Stephenville Nursing Home.
John was born on May 2, 1911 in Erath County.
John's retired after being a teacher and school administrator who taught in Palo Pinto County, Crosbyton and Lubbock.
John was a deacon of the Huckabay Church and was a member of the Ida Lou Masonic Lodge No. 1220. John was also a past Lions Club member in Ida Lou and Ralls for 25 years.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Naomi Hunt of Stephenville; a son, Glenn Hunt of Redlands, Ca; three brothers, Joe Hunt of Norfolk Va.,Wm. Charles Hunt of Oceanside, Calif. and Kenneth Hunt of Stephenville; three sisters, Mary McInroe of Stephenville, Barbara Harris of Forreston and Carolyn Legg of Dublin; two grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
The family will receive friends at Lacy Funeral Home, who is handling the arrangements. Bryant an Sears and the Rev. J.D. McDonald officiating.
Burial will be at the Huckabay Cemetery.
