Mrs. Emma J. Heft, 90, died at 11 a.m. yesterday in her Austin Township home.
She was born March 15, 1863 near Decatur, a daughter of Richard and Rachael Demsey Rogers. She married William Heft in Austin Township in February, 1884. He died in June, 1918.
Mrs. Heft was a member of the Harmony United Brethren Church. She had lived in the same house in Austin Township for 85 years.
She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Jessie M. Emery of near Maroa; a son, Howard R., at home; three brothers, L. E., near Maroa; John D., Forsyth, and Fred B., Latham; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
One brother and one sister preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m., in the Harmony United Brethren Church. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery, Maroa.
Friends may call at the family residence after 1 p.m., today. The Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home is in charge.
