"Jimmy Joe" was the youngest child and only son born to James Ernest and Joyce Dorothy Lindly. He traveled a long way over his short life, from the west coast of California to the east coast of Lakehurst, New Jersey, but he died suddenly from SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome) - aka Crib Death.

He was survived by his parents James and Joyce Lindly, and five sisters, Pamela Jean, Kim Renee, Lori Sue, Vicky Ruth and Debra Kay. His paternal grandparents James Woodrow & Eulalia Noma (Ware) Lindly. His materal grandparents John Joseph & Dorothy Cecilia (Olinger) Lynch and James Lang & Alta Lott Carney.

His Aunts Winnie Ruth Funderburg of Texas, Grace Lindly of Texas, Georgia Nelson of Oregon, Sandy Holstein of Oregon, and Jacquline Califf of Oregon. His Uncles Thomas Lee Lindly on assignment in Germany, Denis Robert Lindly of California, and Timothy Joseph Lynch of Oregon. He is also survived by many cousins and other extended family relatives scatterened from coast to coast.
