Mrs. Bertha Inez Turner Byers, age 79, resident of De Queen, died Wednesday, March 18, 1992 in Brookewood Nursing Home. Graveside services will be held at 10 am Friday, March 20 in Valley Cem. with Rev. Joe Carlton officiating, under the direction of Wilderson Funeral Home. She was born Aug. 10, 1912 in the Pullman Community of Sevier Co.; was a member of Memorial Missionary Baptist Church in De Queen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Robert Byers, who died March 6, 1971. Survivors are one son, Robert M. Byers of Texarkana; two daughters, Dorothy Mae Dunn and Shirley Bryan, both of De Queen, one brother, Harold Turner of De Queen; one sister, Nellie Birge of De Queen, 16 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
