Sara (also known as Sonia) (D'vora), age 71, of Tiffany Street, Bronx, NY, was the daughter of Mikhail and Elizaveta Sverdlov.

Sara died at the Bronx Community Center at 917 East 165th Street at 4:00 PM of a coronary sclerossis with occlusion. She suffered from hypertensive arterial sclerosis and cardio-vascular disease. The report of her death was made by her son, Morris of Fulton St, New York City.

She was survived by two brothers and a sister, Zinovy Alekseyevich, Benjamin M Sverdloff, Sophie (Barnett) Swerdlow.

Sara was pre-deceased by her brother, Yakov Mikhailovich Sverdlov and by her husband, David Swedlow.

Sara and David were married at Kremenchug, Russia which is now in what is known at the Ukraine. They immigrated February 15, 1913 to Ellis Island arriving on the S.S. "Birma" from Libau, Posen, Prussia, Germany.

Sara was survived by her four children Samuel (named after David's father); Morris, Ida, and Rebecca.

David and Sara were also known as "Bobbeh" and "Zaideh" (Yiddish words for Grandmother and Grandfather). They were the grandparents of:

Sara was buried at Mt. Hebron Cemetery May 19th 1947.
