Grandpa Boettger passed away on Monday morning after a long illness at the home of his son, Fred Boettger.

Grandpa Boettger died Monday at the home of his son, Fred. He has been in failing health for some time. Saturday he had a paralytic stroke and was helpless to the end. He was laid to rest beside his wife in the Pleasant Ridge cemetery Wednesday.

A large crowd of friends and relatives attended the funeral of Grandpa Boettger last Wednesday forenoon. The funeral services were held at the home of his son, Fred. A preacher from Manning delivered the sermon. Will Kock, who lives at Manning but used to live here, came down for the funeral.
