Jess Hargrove, 84, of Route 1, Elkmont, died Monday at the Athens-Limestone Hospital.


The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Rainey Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Roy Hardiman Jr. officiating. Burial was to follow in Antioch Cemetery in Elkmont.


Survivors include seven sons, Jessie Hargrove of Athens, James Hargrove of Elkmont, J. D. Hargrove of Toledo, Ohio, and Charles Hargrove, Vernon Hargrove, W. D. Hargrove and Douglas Hargrove, all of Hot Springs, AR; a daughter, Bessie Lee Dison of Elkmont; 54 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
