Sus-Anna Atterberry, 89, of Springfield died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008, at River Birch-Winterberry residences.

She was born Sept. 2, 1918, in Mattoon, the daughter of Raymond and Margaret Barth Glover. In 1946, she married Stanley L. Atterberry; he preceded her in death in 1993.

Mrs. Atterberry graduated from Petersburg Harris High School in 1936 and the University of Illinois in 1940. She taught home economics for three years and worked for the Illinois Department of Public Health. During World War II, she served as a nurse's aide.

She was a member of Kappa Delta sorority, the First United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women's Society. She also belonged to the Chatham Chummy Chainers Square Dance Club for 30 Years.

She is survived by several cousins in Indianapolis.

Services at Boardman-Smith Funeral Chapel. Interment in Rosehill Cemetery in Petersburg.
