She was the daughter of Chris and Nettie (Thomson) Lohry. Alma graduated from South Division High School in Milwaukee Wisconsin in 1941. She married Donald Arthur Church on April 25, 1942. Alma had a lifelong dedication to her family and her faith. She was a longtime member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, its Sarah Circle, and especially enjoyed the friendships she made over the years.
