Mrs. Minnie Viola Lowery, 97, of Vaiden died of heart failure Oct. 1, 2001 at Golden Age Nursing Home in Greenwood. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Lowery was a member of Vaiden Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, G. Y. Lowery and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Jackson Tindoll.
Graveside services were held Oct. 2 with burial in Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery near Vaiden. Rev. Curtis Armstrong officiated.
Mrs. Lowery is survived by one son, Neal Nations of Vicksburg; four cousins, Kermit Nations of Verona, Cecil Nations of Forrest, Bill Nations of Holcomb, Robert Nations of Louin.
Pallbearers were Berlie Tindoll, Avalon Tindoll, Bill Nations, Kermit Nations, Doyle Green, Roy Pullen.
Lee Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
