Waterloo Daily Courier - Wednesday, December 12, 1945 - Ackley—Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothea Eggers, 67, who died at 10:30 Monday of a heart attack in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles McCloud, Union, will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the First Evangelical church in Ackley, burial in the Oakwood cemetery in Ackley.

nee Dorothea Octavea Wiarda in Kritzum, Germany Dec 27, 1877 and came to the United State and to Iowa with her parents when a very young girl, settling in Grundy county in 1898.

She was married to Jacob Roscamp and made their home on a farm near Ackley, where he died in 1916. In 1927 she was married to Henry Eggers and went to Fostoria, where they lived until his death in 1940. She then came to Ackley to make her home. For the last few months she had been with her daughters at Eldora and Union.

She leaves one son, Will Roscamp in California; 3 daughters: Mrs McCloud, Union; Mrs Will Broer and Mrs Fred Broer, Eldora; and two grandchildren; two brothers: Jacob Wiarda, Gladbrook; Robert Wiarda, Ackley; 3 sisters: Mrs Coart Janssen, Ackley; Misses Anna and Jeannette Wiarda, Aplington.

A brother, Uke Wiarda, died 3 months ago.
