William Grant Vinson son of David Reed Vinson and Mary Polly Calhoun was the 7th of 9 children. William married first to Eliza Jane May and had a son Martin Luther Vinson in 1881. William then married Marry Ann "Molly" McKinney Jul 1 1885 Calloway Co. Kentucky. They had 6 children, 5 that lived to see adulthood. They moved from Kentucky in 1890s to Lawrence Co. Arkansas, where they are buired in seperate cemeteries.

Grandpa Vinson was a Saw Mill worker. He was also a heavy drinker. My Dad and Uncle mentioned that they never wanted to spend the night with their Grandma Ellen (William's Daughter and where he spent his last days) because Grandpa Vinson was mean, to them. He would pinch them to see if they would cry.

My Grandma Molly and he seperated after 2 of their children left and sought out work else where. Grandpa Vinson built a house across the road from his wife Molly and lived there until he moved in with his daughter Ellen later in life. Grandpa Vinson died of Pnemonia Jan 1947 at his daughter Ellen's home. No Stone.
