Geneva Means, age 82, of Atlanta, Missouri, passed away at 4:5 a.m., Wednesday (June 22, 1994) at the Samaritan Memorial Hospital, in Macon, Missouri.
Born on Februar 14, 1912, in Atlanta,Missouri, she was the daughter of Ray and Goldie (Romjue) Enochs. In 1929, she married Claud Beeson. In 1956 she married Lawrence Means.
Survivors include 2 sons and their wives, Billie Joe and Carletta Beeson, of Raytown, Missouri, Kermit and Vaneta Beeson, of Grandview, Missouri; 1 brother, J. W. Elsea, of Jacksonville, Florida; 1 sister Mary Alice Wheatcraft, of Brookfield, Missouri; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Claud Raymond Beeson; and both husbands.
Mrs. Means resided in Macon County her entire life. She was a homemaker, a past member of the Order of Eastern Star, and was a member of the Chariton Ridge Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday (June 25, 1994) at the Elliott Funeral Home, in Atlanta, Missouri, with the Rev. Gene Runnels officiating.
Burial was in the Hopewell Cemetery, west of Atlanta, Missouri. Pallbearers were Wayne Beeson, Scott Wheatcraft, Melvin Stone, Larry Phillips, Tom Wheatcraft, and Bill Wheatcraft
