H. Fred "Freddy" Myers Jr., 58, of Altoona, died Thursday evening at his residence after an extended illness. He was born in Altoona, the son of the late Harold F. and Bonnie (Hanna) Myers-Brannigan.

He is survived by his life partner, llla Musselman of Altoona; daughter, Trina and husband Scott Adams, of Eustin, Fla; two sisters: Karen Weigand of Altoona, with whom he resided, and Gail and husband George Thompson, of Altoona; a brother, Thomas and wife Brenda Myers, of Chest Springs; a step-sister, Kim Basal of Ashville; and three grandchildren: Joe, Kristen and Scotty.

He retired in 1988 as a bartender at the Cordial Lounge, Altoona, with 16 years of service. Mr. Myers graduated from Altoona High School.

A funeral service will be held at 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, 2007, at Jones Funeral Home, Altoona, with the Rev. Warren Cravotta officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Jones Funeral Home.
