Mary Jane Mock is Buried in the Bevill-Lee Cemetery, but her grave marker was kindly removed and placed in the Lee Family Plot at Jackson Baptist Church Cemetery of Screven County, GA. Mary Jane Mock was the niece of David B. Lee.
Mary Jane Mock was the oldest child of Lodowick Edward Mock and Margaret Ann Lee (Margaret and David B. Lee were Sister & Brother).
Her parents had 7 children together, they are as follows in order of birth: Mary Jane, General Lamar, George Andrew, Edward T., David Roland, Relia Ann, and John R. Mock.
The inscription on her grave marker reads,
"Sacred to the Memory of Mary Jane Mock, Daughter of L.E. and A.M. Mock (should be M.A.) who died August 6, 1867, Aged 21 years, 5 months & 19 days"
It is said that David B. Lee and General Lee were also buried here. Today, no stones remain in the Bevill-Lee Cemetery.
