Chelsie Lynn Brown, age 19, a much-loved Ririe teen, died at Primary Children's Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, Wednesday, May 23, 2007, from treatment complications after an extended fight with cancer. During her short life, she was able to impact many people and experience much. Chelsea was born March 5, 1988, in Rexburg, to Verlie and Neil Brown. She graduated from Ririe High School in 2006, where she was active in Choir, Track and Cross Country. She attended Brigham Young University – Idaho until she became ill; she had planned to study nursing. Chelsie loved music, singing and ballroom dance, both performing and attending. She also loved being outdoors, skiing, snowboarding, and waterskiing. During her life, she was able to travel to many places, including Mexico, Hawaii, and across the United States. She also lived for a summer in New York City, where she worked as a nanny and enjoyed the big city. Chelsie was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved reading scriptures, and spoke often to her Heavenly Father.

Chelsie is survived by a large family who have loved her dearly and will miss her terribly; her parents, Neil and Verlie; five sisters, Taneil (Adam) Serr, Tiffany Brown, Shaylee (Tyler) Seymour, Teasha (Travis) Lake, and Whitney Brown; two brothers, Cory Brown and Dylan Brown; and her grandfather, Dale (Phyllis) Bond. She is further survived by a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lynn and Phyllis Brown and Adelaide Bond, and her uncle Arlo Brown.
