Milo was born to Rev Harlow and Della Thomas Arms. His childhood and youth were spent at the various towns of his father's ministry. He was called to the pulpit of the First Methodist church of Brookings, SD in August 1940. He served there until his health failed in March of 1941 and the best of medical advice was sought to no avail. Death came following three months illness on June 11, 1941 at the age of 23 years, 1 month and 13 days.

He is survived by his parents; his three sisters, Mrs Fermer Adair, Merlene and Shirley; and many other relatives.
