Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Ruben Covos officiathing. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 Hwy 277 South. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Rosella was born July 15, 1928 to Rose {Husemann} and John Albracht in Nazareth, Texas. She married Lt. Col. Harry Hill. Rosella was founder of Abilene Uniform Center. She worked for Hendrick Medical Center in the Obstetrics Unit for numerous years as a registered nurse. Rosie was a volunteer at St. Vincent De Paul Society and for Meals-on-Wheels. Rosie was a homemaker who loved to spend time with her family and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Rose Albracht, along with ten brothers and sisters; her husband, Lt. Col. Harry Hill {June 6, 2005}; and a son, Steven Hill {February 1, 1982}.
Survivors include three sons, Jeff Hill of Tampa, Florida, John Hill of Grapevine, Texas, and Mike Hill and wife, Meredith of Abilene, Texas; two daughters, Marilyn Downen and husband, Perry, of Cummins, Georgia and Susan Byrd and husband, Bobby, of Abilene; a brother, Jerry Albracht of Amarillo, Texas; a sister, Emelene Kriegshauser of Hereford, Texas; and six grandchildren, Aaron Byrd and wife, Grace, of Houston, Texas, Sarah Ashley Hunt and husband, Nelson, of Washington, D.C., Chris Hill of Tampa, Florida, Erin Hill of Tampa, Florida, Steven Hill of Grapevine, and Abbey Hill of Abilene.
