He was born in Lebanon October 21, 1909, a son of the late Rev. Jay Gotwals and Mary Ann Zug Francis. He was retired nursing aide at Wernersville State Hospital. He is survived by children Mary Irene Francis, Patricia M. Garrick, Willard Michael Francis; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters Suzy Domoyer, Babe Tartick. He was preceded in death by sons Willard Bruce Francis, Jay Michael Francis; daughter Monica Francis; sister Monica Messick; brother Willard Francis. Graveside service Wednesday in Midway Cemetery.
