Mrs. Lonie Mae Doty, 86, of 28521 Ind, 4, North Liberty, died at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday in the Pine Lake Division Hospital, LaPorte, after an extended illness.
She was born May 16, 1885, in Jonesboro, Ark. She lived in North Liberty eight years, coming from Arkansas. Her husband, Rubin H. died in 1935.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Elmer Davis, of North Liberty; 10 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren, and two half-sisters, Mrs. Jessie Greer of Birmingham, Ala., and Mrs. Ruby Lucas of McEwen, Tenn.
Friends may call Friday evening in the Farmer's Union Funeral Home, Jonesboro. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in the First Baptist Church, Bay, Ark., of which Mrs. Doty was a member. Burial will be in Bowman Cemetery, Bowman, Ark. The A. M. Manuel Funeral Home, North Liberty, is in charge of local arrangements.
