Arlene Fullmer, 76, of Iona, passed away October 26, 2021, at her home. She was under the care of Alliance Hospice and her loving family.
Arlene was born April 23, 1945, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Merlin Howard Egan and Ida Ruth Durrant Egan. She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and Ririe, graduating from Idaho Falls High School.
On August 9, 1968, she married Arlin Kay "Art" Fullmer in Idaho Falls. Arlene and Art made their home in Iona, Idaho.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she held many callings through the years. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, baking, and taking care of children in her daycare. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, always showing interest in them and all of their activities.
Arlene is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Art Fullmer of Iona, ID; daughter, Kaylene (Kurt) Young of Hamer, ID; son, Mike (Shannon) Fullmer of Idaho Falls; son, Tom (Cindy) Fullmer of Idaho Falls; son, Travis (Shay) Fullmer of Rigby, ID; sister, Jeanette (Dale) Ricks of Gooding, ID; 30 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Merlin and Ida Egan; sister, Doriene Farnes; brothers, Dave and Steve Egan; grandson, Travis Fullmer Jr.; and great grandson, Asher Fullmer.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 6, 2021, at the Iona 1st Ward, 5169 E. Denning Avenue. The family will visit with friends Friday from 6:30-8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, and Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery.
