Joe L. Gossage, 52, Vermont, died at 7:13 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007, at his home.
He was born April 2, 1955, in Eldorado Township, McDonough County, the son of William and Madge (Vincent) Gossage.
He married Bonnie Bowen on Feb. 14, 1980, in Industry. She survives.
He is also survived by his mother of Galesburg; one son, Joey (Amy) Gossage, Macomb; one daughter, Sarah (Paul) Otto, Denver, Colo.; two grandchildren, Ethan and Isaac Otto; five brothers, William Gossage Jr., Galesburg, Jack Gossage, Vermont, Jimmy (Ann) Gossage, Galesburg, Tom Gossage, Vermont, and Daniel Gossage, Canton; one sister, Loretta (Larry) Surratt, Monmouth; and 16 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
He worked at Clayton-Mark, Vermont, for 13 years. He was a member of the Vermont Christian Church.
Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 26, 2007, at Shawgo Memorial Home, Astoria, with Pastor Gary Schultz officiating.
Burial was in Ridgeville Cemetery, Browning.
