Born Majure Blanks Stribling in Edinburg, Mississippi. He played at the offensive end position for six seasons (1951 to 1953, 1955 to 1957) in the National Football League, with the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles. He enjoyed his most successful season in 1955 with the Eagles, when he had 38 receptions for 568 yards with 6 touchdowns. After playing collegiate football at the University of Mississippi, Stribling was selected by the Giants in round 21 of the 1950 NFL Draft. He appeared in 56 career NFL games, with 114 receptions for 1,573 yards and 14 touchdowns. In addition to the NFL, Stribling played two seasons in the Canadian Football League. (bio by: C.S.)
