Wills Point Chronicle, Friday, April 26, 1974, Pg 7B- Services For Grady Hallman Held April 19- Funeral services for Grady L. Hallman of Wills Point were held on Friday, April 19, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of LyBrand Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Tisdale officiating. Burial was in White Rose Cemetery. Mr. Hallman, 79, died Thursday, April 18 in Crestwood Nursing Home after a long illness. Born on June 23, 1894, Mr. Hallman was the son of pioneer Van Zandters, Samuel King and Laura Hobbs Hallman. He was a native of Wills Point and spent his early life here. He was a retired clerk for the Cotton Belt Railroad and lived in Tyler for many years. He was a veteran of World War I. Survivors include one son, Dr. Grady Hallman of Houston, a noted heart surgeon; one daughter, Mrs. Pat Feely of Clarksville, West Virginia; four brothers, Maurice Hallman of Wills Point, Albert Hallman of Lubbock, Francis Hallman of Dallas and Bill Hallman of Abilene; two sisters, Mrs. Lola Clark of Wills Point and Mrs. Linnie Bralley of Los Angeles, California, and eight grandchildren. Pallbearers were John Samford, Jack Gibbard, Frank Hollandsworth, R. D. Deen, Henry Hallman, and Ralph McLeod.
