Faye L. "Granny" Adams, 88, of Flippin, Ark., former long time resident of Springfield, Mo., went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, December 1, 2007. She was born in Edgar Springs, Mo., to the late Frank and Dessie (Black) Davidson. Faye retired after 32 years from the Lily Tulip Company as an inspector. This allowed her, along with her cat Snowball, more time for her hobbies of fishing, garage sales, and flowers. She was loved by everyone and friends and relatives alike knew her as "Granny." She will be greatly missed. Faye was preceded in death by her parents; brother Roy Davidson; an infant brother; and twin infant sons. Survivors include two children, Gary (Vera) Adams of Lenexa, Kan., Barbara (Hal) Hurst of Flippin, Ark.; grandchildren, Brett Adams, Grant Adams, April Adams, Donnie Hughes, Douglas Hughes and Beverly Hughes; three step-grandchildren: Marty Hurst, Rebecca Flynn and Kristian Dyche-Hurst; five great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held in the Flippin First Baptist Church at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 4, under the direction of Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Homes of Springfield, Mo. A visitation in the church will be held one hour prior to the service at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Ozark Memorial Gardens in Rolla, Mo., after 3 p.m. on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Flippin First Baptist Church Building Fund, 721 Alford St, Flippin, AR 72634, or Hospice House of the Ozarks, 701 Barnett Dr. Mountain Home, AR, 72653-9950.
