Harry S. Wentzel, 65, a retired carpenter, died yesterday in his home in Muhlenberg Township, Temple R. 1. He was employed by Dominic Maurer until seven years ago when he retired. He was a son of the late Amos and Susan (Schildt) Wentzel, and was a member of Spies Reformed Church.
Surviving are his widow, Katie (Fick); eight children, Mary, wife of Clarence Weaver, Laureldale; Mae, wife of Theodore Reigner, Mohnton; Lottie, wife of William Goodhart, Stony Creek Mills; Esther, wife of John Schaeffer and Dorothy, wife of Earl Lash, both at home; Gertrude, wife of Luther Kline, and Margaret, wife of John Hafer, both of Reading, and John F., of Monocacy; 19 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Jennie Weaver, Hyde Park, and Sue and Carrie, both of Reading; and five brothers, Calvin, Reading, Charles, Norristown; George, Pottstown; Thomas, Stony Creek Mills, and Edward, Temple Heights.
Funeral services in the Lutz Funeral Home, Friday at 1:30 o'clock, the Rev. Luke Sweitzer officiating. Burial in Spies Cemetery.
