Obituary for Jett Thomas Andreasen

Jett was born on March 4, 2008 in Omaha, Nebraska. Jett was the son of Tom & Maggie Andreasen and Stacie Frank. Jett attended Blair Community Schools and was in 8th grade at Otte Middle School. He was active in choir and was a proud new member of Show Choir. Jett was also involved in Student Senate, wrestling, was a member of the Honor Roll and was a self-proclaimed math genius. He enjoyed fishing, frog hunting, anything that involved Papa Mike and the outdoors. His favorite place in the world was the Flying V Ranch in Niobrara. He loved playing video games and all of his teachers were more than educated on his knowledge of Minecraft.

Jett knew no stranger, he loved everyone he came into contact with, and had a presence about him that everyone loved; his laugh and energy were contagious. Jett was a kind, old soul who found himself very humorous. He was so loved by many, many friends and families. Jett loved being with his brother Thomas and their friends "tagging along" learning life lessons and many of life lessons were passed down on Sundays watching the Seahawks with his dad.

Jett Thomas Andreasen, age 13 of Blair, passed away September 5, 2021. Visitation will be held Wednesday September 8, 2021 at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair from 5:00 to 8:00PM. Funeral Services will be held September 9, 2021 at 11:00AM at Reach Church (formerly Country Bible). Graveside services will follow in the Blair Cemetery.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents Tom & Maggie Andreasen, sisters Gracie Andreasen and Hannah Bacon, brother Thomas Bacon and his dog, Hank; grandparents Karen Andreasen and Mike & Susie Kelley; aunts and uncles Mike (Mercedes Gentry) Andreasen, Keri (Travis) Fox, Joe Andreasen and Mary Andreasen, Sarah (Nick) Rasby, Erin Lewis, many cousins who he loved getting together with as often as possible. Jett is also survived by many friends who were special to him.

An eighth-grader at Otte Blair Middle School drowned following a medical episode in a residential pool Sunday.

In an email to parents and families, Blair Community Schools Supt. Randy Gilson announced the death of Jett Andreasen, 13.

Teachers, school and grief counselors were available for students on Tuesday.

"Students will have varied reactions to the death of a peer," Gilson wrote. "As always, we will continue to be available to the children if we can assist in any way.

"Please join us in keeping Jett's family in your thoughts during this difficult time."

Capt. Travis Lyon of the Blair Police Department said officers responded to a possible drowning call on Sunday, and the individual was already deceased at the scene.

Further investigation ruled Andreasen had gone into the pool and shortly after he had a medical episode.
