Milford Woodrow Pelfrey, 85, of 211 Aubrey Lane, widower of Irene Hall Pelfrey, died at 6:08 p.m. Wednesday at the Clark Regional Medical Center.

A native of Clark County, he was the son of the late Goebel and Bessie Thomas Pelfrey. He was a retired sawmill operator for The Freemn Corporation and an evangelist. He was an Army veteran of World War II and attended the Winchester Community Church.

Survivors include two sons, Ricky Pelfrey and Ronnie Pelfrey of Louisiana; a stepson, Jerry Carpenter of Winchester; two daughters, Donna Tipton of Stanton and Connie Richards of Winchester; a stepdaughter, Carolyn Campbell of Florence; 11 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, a sister, Anna Hollon of Winchester; two brothers, Isaac Pelfrey of Paris and Denny Pelfrey of Oklahoma and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial services will be conducted at noon Saturday at the Winchester Community Church, Franklin Avenue, by the Rev. Joe Williams and Edward Tackett. Military honors will be performed at the shelter in the Winchester Cemetery following the memorial service.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Simpson, Eli Tipton and Billy Richard. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Saturday until the hour of service.
