Eunice Mae Wesemann, age 93 of Blair, passed away peacefully Sept. 1, 2021, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Community. Visitation will be held Friday, Sept. 3, with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Campbell Aman Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Saturday, Sept. 4, at 10:30 a.m. at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard. Graveside services will follow in the Kennard Cemetery.

Eunice was born on Feb. 12, 1928, the daughter of Carl and Mary Dohse, the youngest of five children. After graduating high school, she attended college and obtained her teaching certificate. She was an educator for several years. On Sept. 6, 1952, she married Herman Wesemann, and the couple were blessed with four children. Eunice was a homemaker during her children's younger years. She enjoyed baking, canning and gardening. Eunice was a devoted member of Emmaus Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday school for several years and held many offices within the church. She was an active volunteer for many organizations including the Red Cross, Joseph's Coat and the Hospital Auxiliary. Over the years, she cut thousands of quilt blocks for quilts that were donated through the church.

In her later years, Eunice enjoyed jigsaw puzzles that she was passionate about getting framed to hang on the walls of Shepherds Village. After moving to Shepherds Village, she began crocheting "Kittie Squares" for the Nebraska Humane Society. Eunice was an avid Cornhusker fan who enjoyed Saturday football.

Eunice is survived by her children, Christine (Randy) Purcell, Janet (Steve) Deemer, Duane (Kathy) Wesemann; 10 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman; son, Roger; siblings, Arthur, Morris, Lillian and Roma.

Memorials may be directed to Emmaus Lutheran Church, Good Shepherd Lutheran Community or Joseph's Coat.
