Religious Leader. Mormon Church Figure. Born April 24, 1924, at Provo, Utah Co., Utah, to Joshua Harold Dunn and Geneve Roberts. Sustained to First Council of the Seventy April 6, 1964, at age 39; sustained to First Quorum of the Seventy Oct. 1, 1976; served in Presidency of the First Quorum of the Seventy, Oct. 1, 1976, to Feb. 22, 1980; named emeritus General Authority Oct. 1, 1989; died Jan. 9, 1998, at Salt Lake City, Salt Lake Co., Utah, at age 73. Though a controversial figure due to his "imaginative" talks, he was one of the best speakers in the LDS Church, and helped many people with total kindness.
