Lealon Hardin Sturgis, 85, of Enid, died Saturday, May 3, 2003, at Tallahatchie General Hospital in Charleston of heart failure.

Services were Monday at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Enid.
Burial was at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Rev. Ray Legge, Rev. Howard Armstrong and Rev. Marty Evans officiated.
Dickins Funeral Home has charge.

Sturgis, born July 29, 1917, to the late Ely Nolan Sturgis and the late Minnie Moore Sturgis was a retired hog farmer and construction foreman, a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, a member of Tallahatchie Company Hospital Board, a member of Mississippi Animal Health Board, President of the Tallahatchie County Fair and Northwest Mississippi Livestock Board.

Survivors include...
his wife Margaret Deese Sturgis of Enid;
two sons, Roger Sturgis and Tommy Sturgis both of Enid;
two daughters, Nina Mabus of Oakland and Lee Dell Sturgis of Enid;
10 grandchildren and
14 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be sent to Tallahatchie General Hospital in Charleston.
