Mrs. Jennie Cleveland
The remains of Mrs. Jennie Cleveland who died Wednesday, January 10, at 3 p.m. at her home at Oak Forest were laid to rest at the Coe Valley Cemetery at Monthalia Thursday afternoon at 5 o'clock. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Mr. Pollard, pastor at the Baptist Church at Cost in the presence of a large gathering of relatives and friends from over the county.
A number of beautiful floral offerings were laid on the new made grave.
Mrs. Cleveland is survived by her husband, J. W. Cleveland, and a number of children all grown. She also leaves a brother, J. B. Wells of this city and a number of other relatives residing in various portions of the county, having belonged to one of the oldest families in this section. Mrs. Cleveland was but 60 years old. Death followed a stroke of paralysis sustained the night before.
The family had lived at the Pullen place until quite recently, moving to Oak Forest after Christmas. Mrs. Cleveland was highly esteemed by all who came in contact with her and her passing has saddened the hearts of a wide circle of friends. The family and other loved ones have our sincere sympathy in their hour of bereavement.
