GAETJEN

RITA WALTER GAETJEN, age 86, passed away November 18, 2007 in Hallettsville, TX. She was born in Superior, Wisconsin on April 7, 1921. Rita served her country in the U.S. Army during WWII. She was a long time member of the American Legion Post # 594. Rita enjoyed going to the opera, cooking for her family, and traveling all over the world. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, August T. "Gus" Gaetjen, Jr., and her son, William H. Gaetjen. Rita is survived by her sons, Ted Gaetjen and his wife Weslene, and James Thomas Gaetjen; daughter, Elizabeth "Jeanne" Gaetjen; grandchildren, Angela Tullos and her husband Todd, Amy Arredondo and her husband Errin, Shanna Gaetjen, Thomas Gaetjen, Patrick Gaetjen, Nicholas Gaetjen, and Sean Gaetjen. Visitation: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, November 25, 2007, with a 6:00 p.m. Rosary, at Earthman Bellaire Chapel, 6700 Ferris, Bellaire. Mass of the Resurrection: 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 26, 2007, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 6800 Buffalo Speedway, with the Rev. John T. Weyer, celebrant. Rite of Committal: Houston National Cemetery.
