Actor, Author. Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, he is best remembered for the role of 'Lance Rocke' in the 1970 cult film "Beyond the Valley of the Dolls". After beginning his career during the 1960s, Blodgett would appear in such television series as, "Daniel Boone", "Bonanza", "Family Affair", "Night Gallery" and "Ironside". His other big screen credits include, "The Trip" (1967), "There Was a Crooked Man" (1970) and "The Velvet Vampire". After ending his acting career during the late 1970s, Blodgett began writing and turned out such noteworthy books as, "Hero and the Terror", "The White Raven" (which were both made into films) and "Captain Blood". He also wrote the screenplay for the Tom Hanks film "Turner and Hooch" (1989). (bio by: C.S.)
