| Birth: | Nov. 13, 1932 | | Death: | Nov. 12, 2007 |  Actor. He is best remembered as convict Tassos Bravos in the World War II action classic "The Dirty Dozen" (1967), starring Lee Marvin. Born in Steubenville, Ohio, Mancini appeared in over 50 films and TV shows in a career that spanned five decades. His credits include "Falling Down," "Miller's Crossing," "Loose Canons," "Turk 182!," and "All in the Family." He also was a regular on the British series "That Was the Week That Was" for a dozen years. In 2002 Mancini received the Los Angeles Ovation Award for his performance in the play "The Time of Your Life." His final role was in 2005, as Grandpa God on TV's "Joan of Arcadia." He remained active as a performer and acting coach at the Beverly Hills Playhouse in California until age 72, when Alzheimer's disease forced him into semi-retirement.
