| Birth: | Jan. 13, 1876 Philadelphia Philadelphia County Pennsylvania, USA | | Death: | Dec. 1, 1956 |  Spanish-American War Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He served in the United States Army during the war with Spain as a Private in Company H, 21st United States Infantry. He was awarded the CMOH for his bravery at Santiago, Cuba on July 1, 1898. His citation reads "Gallantly assisted in the rescue of the wounded from in front of the lines and under heavy fire from the enemy". His Medal was awarded to him on June 22, 1899.
