Gladys was born September 17, 1926 in Newkirk, OK, daughter of Cliff and Emma Terry. She married Charles Richard Moore on June 11, 1954. Gladys was a machine operator at Whitaker Cable before retiring some years later. She was also a member of the Mosby Baptist Church.
Gladys is survived by her four children and their families: Rick Moore; Sharon & Mike Long; Rodney & Marilyn Moore; and Shelley & Rodney Baker, all of Excelsior Springs, MO.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Emma & Cliff Terry; her husband, Charles Moore; two grandsons, Richard Moore & James Derek; several brothers, James, Clarence, Delmar and Junior Terry; two sisters, Fannie Kilgore & Dorothy Wade.
Funeral services for Gladys will be at 11:00a.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at the Polley Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs, MO. Visitation will also be held at the funeral home between 6 and 8:00p.m. on Tuesday, November 20, 2007. Gladys will be laid to rest along side her husband in Crown Hill Cemetery, Excelsior Springs, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested donations be made to the American Heart Association.
