| Birth: | Sep. 14, 1872 | | Death: | Feb. 11, 1963 |  Boxer Rebellion Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. Born in Kahliwar, Sweden, he served as a Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps. During the Battle of Peking, China, June 20, to July 16, 1900, Corporal Dahlgren with others was dispatched as a guard and helped in erecting barricades to protect the city while fighting the invading rebel Boxers. For gallantry in the face of thenemy, he was awarded the Medal of Honor on July 19, 1901. He died at the age of 90 in San Bruno, California.
