Pauline was born Dec. 16, 1909, in Ceresco, Nebraska to John and Mary (Schafer) Mara. She attended school in Ceresco.

She married Herbert Nelson on June 19, 1935. The couple moved to Herman, Nebraska and then to Blair, Nebraska in 1939.

Mrs. Nelson's husband operated the Hancock Farm Equipment business until his death.

In 2000, Mrs. Nelson moved to the Brighton Garden Home and resided there until her death.

Left to cherish her memory are two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Anne Nelson of Sioux City, Iowa, Robert and Rose Nelson of Omaha; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister Hazel Stich of Sun City, Ariz., three sisters-in-law.

She was preceded in death by her husband and three brothers.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 25, at St, Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair. Interment will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Blair.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 24, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home with a rosary at 7 p.m.
