Deema Markham, 91, Johnsonville, Dies
Passed Away Early Saturday Morning At Memorial Hospital; Rites Held
Mrs. Deema Markham, 91, of Johnsonville, died at Memorial Hospital at 4 a.m. Saturday.
She had been a hospital patient since Thursday night. Death was due to causes incident in her advanced age.
Mrs. Markham was the widow of Thomas Markham who preceded her in death 15 years ago.
Rites At Cisne
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon (today) from the Crippin Funeral Home in Cisne, with Rev. Oakley Hargrave officiating. Iterment was in Johnsonville cemetery.
Margaret Ludeema, daughter of William and Mary Little, was born at Tuscola September 16th, 1872.
Married In 1897
On March 21st, 1897, she was married to Thomas H. Markham, with five chldren born to this union. Two children died in infancy.
She as convered to Christ at an early age and united with the Johnsonville Methodist church.
Surviving are one son, Orda Markham, of Johnsonville; two daughters, Hazel Weaver, of Mead, Kans.; and Waneta Clements, of Macon, Ga., fur grnadchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
