Mr. John McCrossin, who lives in one of Capt. Contal's houses on east Grant street, was called upon to mourn the death of his beloved wife, who died of consumption, Friday night last at 12:45, after an illness of about one year. She was 42 years of age, and leaves her husband and nine children to mourn her untimely death. Her sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Rogers of Milwaukee, Wis., came and took care of her the last few days of her life, and was present at the funeral Sunday. She was buried from the Catholic church of which she was a member.
