Harriett Mabel Collins, daughter of Major and Harriett S. Collins, was born October 15, 1846 in Middlesport, Meigs County, Ohio and died November 5, 1917 in Cisne. She came here with her parents in 1856. She married William H. Bing March 12, 1868. They had five children. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband who died November 17, 1898, two brothers, George and Ezra Collins [died 1/26/1917 in California], one sister, Lydia Rider and one daughter, Persis. She leaves 3 sons: Carroll of Cisne, Llewellyn of Jeffersonville and Dr. Elbert of Altamont, Illinois; one daughter, Lela Bing; 2 sisters, Amanda Wallace [died 12/24/1924 in California] of Santa Cruz, California and Ella Persis Brock of Fairfield. Burial in Pleasant Grove cemetery.
