Composer. Francesco Fanciulli was born in Porto Santo Stefano (Grosseto) May 29, 1853. The son of a tailor, who also owned a haberdashery, and the third of nine children, began playing the alto horn in the band at age nine of the country . His manuscripts are kept at Lincoln Center , New York Public Library.
