Earl Sloan, 68 years old of Joplin, Missouri died Monday, February 11, 1974 at his home. He was born August 20, 1905 at Rudy, Arkansas and was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist church in Joplin, Missouri.
Mr. Sloan was a retired conductor for the Santa Fe Railroad. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen and the Masonic Lodge No. 40 at Clovis, New Mexico.
Survivors are three brothers; and four sisters.
Funeral service was held at 2:30 Wednesday at the Rudy Baptist church with Gilbert Pixley as the officiating minister. Burial was in Newberry Chapel cemetery by Edwards Funeral Home.
