Deaths: RATCLIFFE
Mrs. Georgia McAfee Ratcliffe, aged seventy-five years, died in Alexandria, La. on September 22nd, 1912 at the residence of Wm. Harris, The funeral services was conducted from the above residence at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 23rd, and proceeded thence to the Methodist Cemetery, Pineville, for interment.The deceased was a native of Christian Co., Ky., and the widow of the late Dr. C. T. Ratcliffe, who practiced his profession in this city from 1881 until the time of his death in 1886 [sic]. Mrs. Ratcliffe moved here with her family from Hopkinsville, Ky., in 1881, and resided here until 1888, two years after the death of her husband, when she removed to New Orleans, where she resided for several years. From New Orleans, she moved with her son and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Vinson, to Covington, La., where they resided until two months ago, when they returned to this city. Mrs. Ratcliffe had been in exceptionally good health until last Wednesday when she was taken suddenly ill, and her death was a great surprise to her family. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. A. F. Simonin, of New Orleans, Mrs. T. L. Ethridge [sic] and Mrs. J. D. Vinson, of this city.
