Dorothy Albers Perry Horsley, 94, of Carter County, Ky., formerly of Madison, died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2007, at the Brakebill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Knoxville, Tenn.

She was born Jan. 16, 1913, in Carter County, Ky., the daughter of Arthur and Cora Reeder Perry. She was a former employee of the U.S. Shoe factory in Flemingsburg, Ky., and the Hillsboro Elementary School cafeteria. She enjoyed homemaking, quilting and cooking. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

She is survived by three sons, Bernard E. Horsley of Manchester, Tenn., William Ronald Horsley of London, Ohio, and Mark B. Horsley of Dickson, Tenn.; three daughters, Phyllis Gail Horsley of New York City, N.Y., Kathleen Graham of Knoxville, Tenn., and Carmen Chandler of Milton, Ky.; one sister, Rachel Erwin of Lucasville, Ohio; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Horsley, who died Sept. 24, 1984; her parents; one sister, Murl Alexander; and one half brother, Ted Reeder.

The funeral was Sunday, Nov. 11 at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel in Morehead, Ky. Burial was in Bowen Chapel Cemetery in Carter County, Ky.
